The boat signifies passage and redemption while providing the environment for the internal pieces. Each piece of cargo evokes a different meaning. The long pod form is the seed life force, within it the pulsing of new life, a reminder of the regenerative powers of the earth. Other organic forms are further reminders of our connection to the earth. The inter-play of the individual pieces creates a dynamic that is intentional for it emphasizes the idea of containment by providing the actual pieces to be contained and protected.
