Circinate means “rolled up like the leaves of a fern”. This series explores the integration of the human-made cultural object with the grown or natural object. Much of the internal structure is hidden; this is consistent with the mystery of the evident ‘growth aspect’ as well as the concept of the ‘boat’ as container/protector.
